Samuel requested this music :) He's having fun with his cousins in Indiana. It's nice to see him strong enough to play normally with other boys.
Music Montage:
"New blood joins this earth, and quickly he's subdued...." I really hated the words to this song, wanting them to NOT be true, when he had 17 different tubes and lines going into and out of his body in the hospital. But, he's a tough boy and made it through fine.
"I'm half the man I used to be, (this I feel as the dawn, it fades to grey.") I cried when I heard this song in the parking lot of the Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor.
"...cause I'm Broken, when I'm Open, and I don't feel like, I AM STRONG ENOUGH." Amy Lee's voice conveys my feelings about Debra.
"I am aware now, how everything's gonna be Fine..."
"Every day is a new day. I'm THANKFUL for Every breath I take."
"It's all right, It's all right, It's all right! It's all right." Wolf was born healthy. It's all right.
These are just personal songs that Brian likes to hear while driving to work at the Toledo Express Airport as a corporate jet pilot.
Samuel's Formula is a whole-food feeding-tube formula designed to replace the factory formula that hospitals use.
Correction: Samuel's Open heart surgery took place on December 23. I got off a day while making the video. I can't go back and look at the originals and make it again; a correction will have to do, any voice narrative is still too much.
This is the sequel to the first By Endurance, We Conquer. It was sent a year after the first to family and friends as an update.
Further UPDATE: Samuel had the first of two planned back-to-back surgeries at University of Michigan in Feb. 2006. During the first surgery, the surgeons decided the second surgery couldn't be completed. In short, they've given up trying to get things fixed. But Dr. Butto hasn't, and neither have we.
This video was made about a year after Samuel's first, open-heart surgery. It was sent to family and friends. I decided to upload it to Google Video because people have found it inspirational and encouraged me to share it with others.
